Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation – Training of Trainers on Land Modules in Burundi

The Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (DDC) in Burundi supports the Burundian government in the implementation of the National Decentralization Policy in general and in supporting the land reform process in particular. It is within this framework that this Directorate has technically and financially supported the creation and operation of land services in six municipalities in Ngozi province for ten years. On the basis of the needs expressed, the capacities of communal land agents and members of hill reconnaissance commissions were strengthened through the design of land training courses.

As the content and methodology of the training provided were not harmonized, it was considered necessary to organize a training of trainers on these modules for a better use. This training should make it possible to constitute a pool of trainers in the field of land which can be put to use for the training of land agents, or even other actors of decentralization.
